Individual Vocational Training in a Company

The Individual Vocational Training in a Company (FPIE) offered by Brussels Formation is a program that allows a job seeker to train directly within a company, in a specific position, with a view to recruitment. This training lasts between 4 weeks and 6 months and is formalized through a contract signed by the trainee, the company, and Brussels Formation, which includes a training plan. It is intended for individuals registered as job seekers (notably with Actiris) who must not have previously worked for the employer or have left a job to enter this program. At the end of the training, the company is required to hire the person for a duration at least equivalent to the length of the training, under the same working conditions.

During the FPIE, the trainee does not receive a regular salary but a training allowance paid by the company, calculated based on the gross salary of the position, minus social security contributions and, if applicable, social benefits. The trainee may also receive support for travel expenses and access to online training resources. This system is designed as a “win-win” mechanism: the trainee gains skills directly relevant to a specific job, while the employer trains a future employee according to their needs, reducing the risks associated with recruitment.
